Turner @ Summer 2017 TCA Press Tour

When members of the Television Critics Association gathers for their Summer 2017 Press Tour in July, Turner is going to be there shining a spotlight on some of the global media company's exciting new and returning shows, including such eagerly anticipated series as TBS's The Last O.G. and Drop the Mic and truTV's At Home with Amy Sedaris and The Chris Gethard Show.

In addition, Kevin Reilly, president of TBS & TNT and chief creative officer for Turner's entertainment networks, will provide an update on TBS & TNT's brand evolutions during a special executive Q&A session. And the cast and producers of TBS's Search Party will be back with a preview of what Dory and her friends are going to face in the critically acclaimed, 100% Certified Fresh (RottenTomatoes.com) series' second season.

Capping off Turner's presentation will be a special panel discussion featuring TNT & TBS's Leading Women of Drama and Comedy, including the stars of TNT's Good Behavior, Claws & Will and TBS's Angie Tribeca, People of Earth & Search Party.

truTV's At Home with Amy Sedaris

Airdate: Late 2017

Comedy legend Amy Sedaris will apply her sincere yet distinctive brand of silliness to At Home with Amy Sedaris, a one-of-a-kind mash up of hospitality, variety and talk show formats. Through her imaginative characters and unique point of view, the series will showcase Sedaris' diverse but necessary homemaking skills, from Frenching beans and gutting a trout to crocheting miniature sweaters and entertaining businessmen. Each episode of At Home with Amy Sedaris will revolve around a traditional theme and will seamlessly combine Sedaris' humor and talents as a crafter, chef, baker and hostess.

truTV's The Chris Gethard Show

Synopsis/Description:
The Chris Gethard Show is a one-of-a-kind weekly spectacle. The cult hit show has attracted a host of celebrity A-Lister guests including; Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, P. Diddy, and Zack Galifinakis to take part in what has been called, "a riveting experiment in seat-of-your-pants broadcasting." Gethard ring-leads a panel of comedian oddball friends who participate in games, pull off bizarre stunts, and interact live with his worldwide fan following.

Executive Session with Kevin Reilly

He'll touch on the challenges the networks have faced over the past 18 months; the success they've achieved in changing consumer perceptions, drawing new viewers and attracting top talent; and what to expect in the next phase of their evolutions.

TBS's Drop the Mic

Series Premiere: Fall 2017

Celebrities are getting ready to put their battle rapping skills to the test in TBS's new series Drop the Mic. The comedic music competition, hosted by Method Man and Hailey Baldwin, is based on the enormously popular segment from the Emmy®-winning series The Late Late Show with James Corden. Corden, Ben Winston and Jensen Karp serve as executive producers, with Ed Thomas as co-executive producer. Each week on Drop the Mic, four stars from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and pop culture will face off against each other in a rap battle royale packed with "I can't believe they just said that" moments. At the end of each head-to-head battle, the studio audience will vote to pick the winner.

TBS's The Last O.G.

Series Premiere: Winter 2017

Comedy superstar and multiple Emmy® nominee Tracy Morgan is coming to TBS this winter in The Last O.G., a new comedy from creators and executive producers Jordan Peele and John Carcieri. The Last O.G. centers on Tray (Morgan), an ex-con who is shocked to see just how much the world has changed when he is released on good behavior from a 15-year prison stint. Returning to his newly gentrified Brooklyn neighborhood, he discovers that his former girlfriend, Shay (Tiffany Haddish), has married an affable, successful white man (Ryan Gaul) who is helping raise Tray's twin sons (Taylor Mosby & Dante Hoagland) he never knew existed. Wanting nothing more than to connect with his kids, but having neither the money to support them nor himself, Tray falls back on the skills he learned in prison to make ends meet while treading unfamiliar territory. The Last O.G. also stars Cedric the Entertainer as Miniard, the head of the halfway house where Tray is staying, and Allen Moldonado as Tray's cousin Bobby, who helps him adjust to life on the outside. Executive-producing with Morgan, Peele and Carcieri are Eric Tannebaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Joel Zadak of Principato Young.

TBS's Search Party

Season 2 Premiere: Fall 2017

Last fall, TBS's Search Party broke the sitcom mold with its story of a group of self-absorbed 20-somethings who become entangled in a mystery. Hailed by Indiewire as "something truly unique in the TV landscape," Search Party finished its first season ranking as one of the best new series of 2016, with a 100% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Series stars Alia Shawkat, John Early, John Reynolds, Meredith Hagner and Brandon Micheal Hall, along with several of the show's executive producers, will be on hand to talk about this fall's new season.
