TNT has been undergoing a brand transformation and programming evolution that began last year with the launch and returns of several, high-quality, distinctive, marquee originals that garnered impressive audience engagement. In 2018 the powerhouse cable brand continues to build on its extraordinary success with new seasons of returning hits and the launches of several highly-anticipated new series.  Additionally, both TBS and TNT experienced their best year ever on VOD, scoring more than 185M combined transactions, while the networks’ apps also blew past their yearly download goals with nearly 7M downloads in 2017 alone.

TNT currently ranks as one of cable's Top 5 entertainment networks with both adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 for the year-to-date, continuing its demo success from 2017. The network started its shift toward more premium fare last year with the launch of acclaimed hit Claws as well as the return of audience favorites – Animal Kingdom and Good Behavior  – all of which scored strong ratings, remarkable in-season growth and earned series renewals. Audience favorite Claws became the #1 cable series on VOD during its summer run and netted at #3 out of all TV, including broadcast, while becoming the youngest skewing drama, 15 years younger than legacy TNT series. Claws was also 1 of only 6 new cable dramas to break through 1M per episode in this competitive, audience-driven environment. Returning hit original drama Animal Kingdom posted strong 60% growth on digital and was 1 of only 2 top 20 cable dramas to grow YOY on linear.

Joining the mix this year is the new, highly-anticipated and critically acclaimed TNT drama The Alienist, starring Daniel Brühl, Dakota Fanning and Luke Evans in this unflinching psychological thriller amidst the underbelly of New York City’s “Gilded Age” that follows Dr. Laszlo Kreizler (Brühl), a brilliant and obsessive “Alienist” in the controversial new field of treating mental pathologies, who holds the key to hunting down a never-before-seen ritualistic killer murdering young boys.

TNT original programming highlights for 2018 include the series premiere of The Alienist (January 22, 9pm ET/PT), the return of its top rated original series, Claws (Season 2 Premiere: Summer 2018) and Animal Kingdom (Season 3 Premiere: Summer 2018) in addition to the upcoming premiere of the unscripted series Michael Moore Live from the Apocalypse.
